Ravenstar padded from her den, it was still fairly early, though not early enough for the Clan to be awake and starting on the day's work. She streched languidly and glanced around, remembering the fact that she had decided, upon a visit to the nursery yesterday, that there was a kit in need of an apprentice ceremony. Looking toward the camp entrance, she saw that a patrol was just about to set off, all three of her brothers in it, and leapt onto the HighStump and let out her call before they could leave. "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath the HighStump for a Clan meeting!"
She stood patiently as she waited for her Clan to gather. She had thought for some time last night before she let sleep claim her, about who would mentor the new apprentice. She had not allowed herself to fall asleep until she made a decision, and it was not something to be decided lightly and without thought. She watched as her brothers turned away from the entrance and came to sit a bit farther away than most cats probably would. She figured it was so they could get going quickly after she called the meeting to an end.
Foxheart pushed her way out of the warrior's den and yawned. Ravenstar's call had woken her and her brother up. Both of them had been assigned to the SunHigh patrol with their apprentices and so they were resting up for it. Flicking her tail, she glanced behind her to make sure her brother was following close and went to sit near the front where they would have a good view.
Racoonmask followed after his sister, blinking sleep from his eyes and shaking himself to get his energy flowing. Briefly, he wondered what the meeting would be about, maybe an apprentice ceremony? He thought he had seen a kit playing in the clearing recently that looked only slightly younger than his own apprentice.
