A loud yawn escaped the mouth of the scrawny tabby cat as she woke up from her slumber. Groggily the she cat stood up and stretched before she left the hollow log that was her home. It was burnt as was almost everything else around her and despite laying down fresh moss as bedding she still managed to get soot on her pelt. Either way she spent this morning like the last sitting on the bare ground cleaning herself of the fowl tasting soot. Once that was done the grumpy she-cat went on her way in the search of prey. It was close to sunhigh before she managed to spot something, a young rabbit. Mouth watering she crouched down and crept closer, years of experience keeping her from making a sound. She stopped though about two fox lengths away when the creature lifted it's head. She hardly dare to breath as it looked around before thankfully it began to eat some of the sparse grass once more. After creeping forward a bit more she pounce just coming up short effectively startling the rabbit and sending it running. Bonnie chased after it for a bit, but soon gave up sides heaving. "Mouse dung," She muttered glaring at where the prey disappeared.

Two gray-green eyes peered out from the shadows, watching. Dusk hated being around other cats, but this naive looking loner seemed like a small, if recognizable threat. I want that hollow as my home, she decided, and I'm gonna get it one way or another! With a low growl, the pale brown tabby stepped into the sunlight, her tail twitching. The black tip appeared on one side of her flank, then disappeared, and reappeared on the other side, still restless.
She suddenly scented a wagtail, fluttering near the hollow itself. Without thinking, she leaped and pinned the bird down. With a swift bite to the neck the prey was dead. The rouge resheathed her bloodied claws, and with a glare at the other she-cat, she settled down to eat.

Hearing bird's wings Bonnie turned to see another she-cat bring down a wagtail. Her ears flattened against her head as she watched the intruder begin to feed on the now deceased animal. Glaring the older she-cat began to walk over to her hollow. Her pace was slow since she didn't want to start a fight out right before she knew why this other cat was here. When she was within two fox lengths of the younger cat Bonnie stopped, but remained standing. "What are you doing by my home," The tabby growled out her voice rasping a bit revealing the fact that she was not young at all.

She almost laughed. "Your home?" She hissed menacingly, a glint in her pale green eyes. "Not any longer. I'm in my new home," she explained nastily, with a sweetness in her voice like she was teaching a young kit. She left the unfinished wagtail where it lay, fresh, and stood up again, maw glistening with blood.
"You see," Dusk's voice was no longer sweet- it was coldly seething, a warning undertone hidden beneath layers of ice. "I'm younger and stronger than you are," she circled the graying she-cat, her head low, her fur bristling. "And I will get what I want." She stopped in front of the loner, her tail under the old cat's chin. After a moment's pause, she grinned, her teeth stained with fresh blood. "And what I want right now is that hollow," she finished, pulling her tail away and curling her lip in a snarl. "Do we understand eachother?" Back to the sappy-sweet voice, but now a danger lurked behind her chest- she was starting to get angry, and she would fight if it came to that. She would kill. She'd done it before.

Bonnie growled as the younger cat spoke, leaving the rest of the prey uneaten. What as waste letting precious few prey rot in the sun half eaten. The tabby cat watched with still keen eyes as the rouge began to circle her making sure to keep her in sight at all times. The older cat then had to resist the urge to bite the tail that rested briefly beneath her maw. "I don't see what a pretty young cat like you wants with my hollow. When all you have to do is convince one of those young toms nearby to forfeit their home?" Bonnie said voice dripping with sarcasm at the word pretty. Her tail was bristling as was the rest of her fur. She'd had this home for too long to give it up right now. "Plus I don't see what use you'd have with a burned up log and a half burn patch of woods," The older cat added prepared to fight right now despite the disadvantages.

She's right! the thought surprised her. She doesn't realize it, but... With a small smile she turned away, keeping the cat in her periforal vision. If I fake being sick, I might be able to charm my way into a Clan, take over...and then I'd have dozens of cats ready to die at my very words! She unsheathed her claws and pulled some earth towards her.
"Keep your home, then," she hissed, "I have no use for anything of yours," she added, but she was distracted now, with visions of power. "I'll take over one of the Clans, and then, then I'll be back for you." Her tail continued twitching, the earth in front of her raked by restless claws. "You'd better hope you'll be dead by then," she added ominously. "But for now I'll rest. If you try anything, I'll kill you. If I have to. Both of us know that I could rip you apart as easily as an owl with a field mouse."
Dusk's fur lay flat again as she settled back down, pulling the half-finised wagtail towards her with her pale tabby paws.

Inwardly the older cat sighed happily glad that for now at least she had diverted the hostile rouge from fighting with her. Though as the tabby spoke on Bonnie's eyes narrowed thinking about how confident this cat seemed in her abilities. Though she was sure she'd be dead by the time Dusk ever managed to take over a clan since from what she'd heard, living next to JuniperClan, cats had to have certain attributes to become a leader. What it was she couldn't quite remember. Then when the she-cat went back to the wagtail Bonnie herself sat down keeping her eyes on the younger cat as she waited for her to leave.
