Reminiscing...[Open]

Blackbelly stepped out of the last patch of vegetation he was going to see as he stepped towards the opening to the Stone Cavern. At the edge of the slope he stopped to peer down debating over which way he should take. The two toned tom soon decided to take the easy way down jumping from boulder to boulder. When he arrived at the bottom the green eyed tom took one last look back at the top of the ridge before he entered the dark cave. Using his memory of past trips into the cave Blackbelly easily maneuvered his way through the once confusing paths. Finally after what seemed like forever in the darkness the long legged cat reached the Glass Pool which he had first stumbled upon many moons ago during an exploration of the cave. Silently the tom walked up to the edge of the pool and sat down, eyes looking into the clear water recalling past memories that he held to dear.

Brokenfaith's eyes flickered to the side as she seen Blackbelly go down into the Stone Cavern. And what would he want done there? Maybe he was spending time on his own. Brokenfaith knew she shouldn't intrude but decided it couldn't hurt. Prancing over to the stones, she slowly leapt over carefully placing her feet so she didn't slip. As she reached the entrance she groaned at how tired her muscles were. Probably from not getting out in awhile. SMiling to herself none-the-less she walked through the dark confusing cavern. The scent of Blackbelly guided her and she came out into a place where she had not discovered. She shook her head slightly as she saw Blackbelly lying beside a pool and....gazing into it? Sighing she sat down where she was and pondered what to say.
"Hello Blackbelly." She meowed calmly

Blackbelly had been so lost in his memories that when the she-cat had spoken he had been startled. "Oh hello Brokenfaith," He said looking at the older cat after regaining his composure. Curiously he turned to face her fully wondering as to what she was doing here. Since he thought he had been sure that no one had been following him. Which of course turned out wrong. "What are you doing down here?" The two toned tom asked after a minute of awkward silence. Though inwardly he was pretty sure that she had followed him since he'd never scented her in this area before. The younger cat shifted a bit as he waited for an answer from the senior warrior. He guessed that she'd want to know why he was down here, an answer to which he wasn't to fond of telling others. He would though since all questions deserved an answer.

Brokenfaith tilted her head slightly to the side with amusement. What was she doing down here? What was HE doing down here? Of course she had never been down here before, but it was a beautiful place. The pool was beautiful and it was enticing. Smiling, she responded with ease. "I could ask you the same question." Pausing she glanced from him, to the pool and then continued. "I was only curious of what you were doing." She said softly and her tail twitched as she became slightly uncomfortable. Blackbelly seemed almost unbearbly uncomfortable almost like he didn't want to tell anyone, or let anyone know about what he was doing or why he was down there.

Blackbelly listened as his fellow warrior spoke forcing himself to sit still. "Well," The younger tom said turning to look back in the glimmering water once more. "I am down here thinking about Petalsong," He stated sighing lightly as he remembered his late mate. "You remember Petalsong don't you?" The two toned tom then asked as he turned to look back at his older clan mate. She should remember since Brokenfaith was most definitely alive when his white furred mate passed away. Unless she just didn't know about anything that went on in the camp, which he highly doubted. Plus his daughter still was here to run rampant in the camp, still as sweet as her mother though just a tad more hyper.

Brokenfaith's smile faded and she knew why. Petalsong... Blackbelly's pretty little mate. How could she forget her? SHe was always almost in a good mood. She was a sweet cat. Brokenfaith looked at Blackbelly with sorrow filled eyes and nodded slightly to show that she understood. She had lost many loved ones and she knew the pain that was accompiened by it. Walking over to Blackbelly she rested her tail on his back sympathetically and then in her smooth seductive voice she meowed, "At least you still have your daughter and the rest of the Clan to lean on whenever you feel the need." Her eyes were filled with sympathy for the tom.

Blackbelly was glad that his clan mate remembered her, glad that she wasn't forgotten. Then he sighed when Brokenfaith had come over and ran her tail over his back. It was a bit soothing, but it did not get rid of his sadness. "Yes that's true, but sometimes coming here by myself helps," The two toned tom said looking down at the ground. It did help since he didn't have others coming around all the time asking if he was alright. Here he had silence and was able to think clearly with out many interruptions.

Brokenfaith looked from the tom to the pool and smiled. She couldn't help but here a hint telling her she should leave him in peace. But she stopped herself. Her tail twitched uncertainly and then stepped up to Blackbelly. "You know, I do realise how hard it is lose someone." She was scared to say to much. It seemed like she was invading on something that was really personal. Stepping back towards the entrance, she said softly, "If you wish for me to leave, just say so and I will leave you to reminisce." She covered her paws with her tail and smiled to herself. She remembered everyone who she had lost. Her eyes filled with greid and she almost started to sob but held back.

Blackbelly looked up when he heard his clan mate say that she was willing to leave if he wanted. The tom shook his head, standing up and stretching lightly. "I can always come back some other time," The multi-hued tom said walking over to the she-cat. "Plus it looks like you could use the relaxing properties of this place to yourself right now," He said with a soft smile as he seated himself beside her, tail automatically wrapping around his legs. If his fellow warrior needed this time to be alone he would go, if not he would stay, it made no difference to him since he could always come back at another time.
