Checking the Borders

[Dragonstar]

Dragonstar slowed down as they approached camp. He climbed the Rocks of Moss and climbed into the Mossy Dip. 'I wonder what I should teach him first.....' he thought.

Mysterypaw waited patiently for him to think. He was really excited; he always wanted to learn how to fight.

[Dragonstar]

" How about we learn how to fight off a fox? " He asked. He made up his mind, after this they'd be finished for the day.

[sea]

"Great!" Mysterypaw said, jumping as he did. "So, when you are fighting a fox should you be worried about your technique or strength? Or maybe both?" he suggested. He was going to do all he could for Dragonstar, to make him proud.

[Dragonstar]

" Both, " Dragonstar replied, " Foxes are very cunning and fast, not to mention short-tempered. "

" When fighting a fox, you should always make use of your surroundings. For example, here in Juniperclan, there are mostly trees and underbrush. I could use that to confuse him, like jumping from bush to bush real quickly."

Mysterypaw nodded. "That makes sence. So, you could also confuse him if you were in a woodland area. So if you had trees, you could jump from one to the other, and when he didn't know where you were you could pounce on him, and then kill him? That would mean if you were a good climber and if you were very careful." he said. He was thinking of possible ways of what could actually happen.

"But what if the fox found you first, then what should you do? Try to get on it's back?" he inquired.

[Dragonstar]

" Yes, " Dragonstar meowed. He was thinking of a way to turn himself into a fox, he was already bigger than Mysterypaw. "It would be best to try and knock it down to your own size. "

Mysterypaw nodded, understanding. "So, how exactly would you fight it?"

[Dragonstar]

" Let's say, if you tracked it down and found it, you would first want to jump on its back to surprise it and claw it. " He meowed, " After awhile, it'll get smart enough to try and shake you off, so it'd be better if you jumped off, "

Mysterypaw nodded, intent on his careful instructions. His mind was nowhere but on Dragonstars' teaching. He nodded, ready for more.

[Dragonstar]

" You should try to get in as many as you can between its attacks, " Dragontar meowed, picturing the fight in his head. " It'll probally run off after it got enough, but if it's brave enough it'll fight to the death."

[sea]

Mysterypaw gulped. He did not like the sound of that. His mother had once told him her sibling had been killed by a fox. This news sent a jolt of terror through him, like a rocket. He nodded, and asked, "Go for the stomach, right?"

[Dragonstar]

Dragonstar nodded, " Yeah, so we're gonna pretend I'm a fox, and you're going to fight me. " He meowed." Don't worry, I'll go easy on you. "

[sea]

Mysterypaw scowled. "Ha ha." he said with no amusement. Then he took a firm but easily movable stance about 3 tail-lengths away from the leader. "Prepare yourself, foxdung!" he exclaimed, fully in on the pretendment.

[Dragonstar]

Dragonstar smirked, readying his body. " You can go first, " He meowed.
