Goldenpaw nodded, and smiled. "Ya. But who wouldn't want me as an apprentice?" Then he got up, taking a last bite the mouse, and said, "OK, so, how am I to attack and kill a stupid crowfood hawk or eagle?"
He felt bad about making her feel a tad akward, he really had only tried to say his feelings. I did say them a little intence...oops.
Then, looking up at her, he laughed. "Holy crow! I've actually lived this long! Can you beleive it?" he chuckled. "Herm, well, maybe it's time for you to worry. OK, are you going to be the hawk? Because if you are this could be interesting." he joked. He wanted to lower the akwardness a little, so then she would feel at tad more comfortable.

((ach, I gotta make up all this training stuff on my own, I have no idea how a cat would fight a hawk! lol, I thought I did pretty good on the bird catching thing tho ^.^ Hope you don't mind if I make this a double training session))
Lynxfur laughed at his comment of 'this could be interesting'. "Well, for starts, no one is going to be the hawk. I'm just going to teach you a couple basic moves first, then we'll see how you would fare against something that fights back, rather than empty air." She shook herself slightly, letting go of her feelings from before and getting back to normal so they could actualy get some training done, "Okay. So first-"
"Lynxfur!" Wolfheart called from across the circle, padding toward them at an easy pace. He glanced behind him to make sure his apprentice was following, then turned back to Lynxfur and came to a stop before her. He nodded at Goldenpaw, then addressed his former apprentice, "I hope you don't mind if Blizzardpaw and I join you. What have you two been working on?" He looked from one to the other.
"Hello, Wolfheart. I don't mind, the more the better. I was just about to teach Goldenpaw some basic hawk fighting moves. If you're sure Blizardpaw is ready for it, he's welcome to join us." Apprentices usually didn't start learning how to fight off hawks and eagles until a little later in their training. She knew Wolfheart hadn't had Blizzardpaw for too long.
"Well, we can sit out for a while and watch, and then we'll see if he wants to give it a try," he lowered his voice slightly, "If he becomes to distracting, we'll leave. I don't want to interfere with Goldenpaw's training." He then sat and curled his fluffy gray trail around his paws, calling to his apprentice, "Blizzardpaw, come sit over here. I want you to watch Lynxfur and Goldenpaw training to fight hawks, and then we'll see if you want to try, alright?"
Paws working the earth gently, Lynxfur looked over at Goldenpaw. She was a little nervous now that her former mentor was here to watch her with her own apprentice. She hoped she didn't screw up anything.... "Are... are you ready, Goldenpaw?"

((Not at all, don't worry about it. I just have to be the shy one now. The only thing bad about that is that in real life I'm not shy at all, so I have to wing it. And I thought you were really good. But for hawk, wouldn't you just want to stay as far away from the talons as you could, and try to get on it's back? Just a suggestion/question kind of thing... )) Goldenpaw didn't really like having a crowd, and it made his shy barrier come up like a thorn wall. He sighed and nodded, looking at his nervous mentor. He would make her proud if he had to do anything. "Sure." he said simply.
As he waited, he looked for Blizzardpaw. He hadn't really seen much of him, and he wondered what he would be like. He turned his attention to Lynxfur, like a good apprentice, and asked, "So, what should you do first when confronted with a hawk or eagle?" He decided he would just listen and not joke. He wanted to, truthfully, but he knew he couldn't, he couldn't out the wall down. It was too thick, and it hurt him every time he tried-the thorns only went into his pelt, and they seemed to go deeper and deeper even after he stopped. So all he could do now was just be the 'good apprentice' and listen to his mentor, absorbing her information like a sponge.

Blizzardpaw calmly padded after his mentor. He was serious now, after bouncing around in the Medicine Cat's Den. He didn't really want to double up with some other people. He was pretty sure they'd just laugh at him because of his disability. He sat down with his head down and waited for Wolfheart to teach him.

Goldenpaw looked at the handsome apprentice. He didn't really know him, so he only knew about his disability. It made him sad, and he felt sorry for him. Always being treated differently, he seemed nice. He had heard him the other day with the Med. Cat. He was hyper, and it only made him smile. Not a making-fun smile, but a smile that only wished everyone was like that. He was happy, and if everyone was like that...it would be so much better. Cats were too serious, they sometimes never seemed to remember the definition of fun.
It wasn't that hard.
Joke. Laugh. Play.
Did that not matter?
He was lost in thought, totally forgetting he was supposed to be waiting for Lynxfur to talk. He was staring at the clouds...wondering if they were having fun. And then he thought of Starclan...and he voiced, "Do you think Starclan has any fun? What do they do all day?" He didn't even know he said it out loud, he was only just staring still at the sky.

Wolfheart sat patiently, waiting for Lynxfur to begin, "Listen to what to Lynxfur says, Blizzardpaw. There is a lot to know about hunting and fighting hawks and eagles." As he was speaking to his apprentice, he missed what Goldenpaw had said, "I know you will probably be bored, but try to listen anyway, then I'll let you try some of the easier techniques."
Lynxfur blinked, surprised at her apprentice's question. Glancing up at the sky, she cleared her throat, "I... wouldn't know.... Maybe you should ask Feathermist?" She wasn't really sure if the medicine cat would know, but it was the best thing she could come up with, "Alright, er, let's start then." She paused to think for a moment on how best to start, "Um, let's just practice a couple scenarios. Let's say a hawk is seen flying over camp, and you're one of the cats sent out to follow it and bring it down. This is more hunting than fighting, but it happens a lot; one hawk can feed many cats. One or two other cats will usually be with you, so they're not too hard to bring down." She found herself talking too much and not really explaining how to catch one. Taking a deep breath to settle herself down, she felt much better, and just tried to ignore the fact that Wolfheart was sitting there, watching her.
"Okay. So if you're sent out to hunt a hawk, one cat will probably try to distract it and keep it low, while the other one or two try to get around at its back, where they're safe from the talons and beak. If you happen to be the cat who has to distract it, you'll want to leap into the air to grab it, drag it down, and let go as fast as you can. It's tiring, but if you keep doing it, the hawk will tire as well and won't be able to get away. This will make it easy for the other cats with you to take it down. If you're on the other end of the deal, then you just have to wait until the hawk has been tired out enough and gets low enough for an easy leap. It's harder to kill hawks, and even harder to kill eagles, because they're so big, which is usually why it takes two cats, and there's a good chance you'll get hurt; they don't give up without a fight." She took another deep breath, and waited to see if Goldenpaw had gotten all that. She knew it wasn't much fun to listen to her explain it, but she had to get some basics out in words before they could actually try it.
((ach, sorry, that was kinda stupid....))

Blizzardpaw nodded at his mentors words and then listened to Lynxfur ranting on and on, fading in and out. He soaked in the words and tried to remember them. He felt a little rebelious against Lynxfur, he didn't really know why.

Goldenpaw nodded, feeling bad for going off subject. He nodded again while she rattled, she made sence. Then he looked at her with his silver eyes confused, but willing. "So how exactly are we going to practice this?" he asked.
It was true. Wouldn't it be hard to practice something like that. Then he looked at her again, and summerized her words, so he could make sure he had everything. "So, when you are hunting down a hawk, you usually have at least someone with you. So one is a diversion, and the other attacks. The first makes the bird tired, and when it is tired enough the second cat attacks by getting on it's back and bringing it down." he looked at her. "Right?"

Blizzardpaw, surprisingly, started feeling a bit jittery again. Even after his fiasco in the Medicine Cat's Den, he had energy left over. He fidgeted uncomfortably. He couldn't take it any longer he jumped up and started chanting 'Death Berries' ...... again.

Goldenpaw swung his head around. Blizzardpaw was chanting Deathberries over and over again. He angled his head, and then he started to say it. "Deathberries, deathberries, deathberries!!!!" Not to make fun, no, but to just say it. And after a while, it really was kind of fun. He started laughing, a good natured laugh, and he was in hysterics, so his chant sounded strange. 'Death-hph, D-eh-eh-berries!!"
It really was fun, and having someone else say it made it even more fun. He liked it, somehow, it was entertaining. He started to say it louder, and then, he looked at Lynxfur, and crouched on the ground.
He was sure she would be mad. He was being bad. Her own mentor was here and he was showing she couldn't pay attention. He looked down at his paws, and made sure he didn't look at her eyes. He was sure he didn't want to know what they looked like.

[errr...I am Goldenpaw. LOL. It is OK, don't worry about it.]
Goldenpaw was aware of Blizzardpaw, and he wished he could keep going on as he was, but he was afraid of Lynxfurs' reaction. He bit his lip, holding it in as hard at he could. After a while of this he started digging his claws on the stone, Don't do it, don't do it, don't don't don't! he screamed in his head.

(( sorry, I haven't typed G-O-L-D-E-N-P-A-W. Alot of times and I've typed Mysterypaw lots of times))
Next, Blizzardpaw ran around camp. Up and down up and down up and down up and down the camp.He loved the feeling of being free to do and say what he wants. This is the most hyper he's ever been. On accident, he jumped on Lynxfur.

Goldenpaw gulped loudly as Blizzardpaw jumped on Lynxfur. What was she going to do? He started to worry. "Errr....Blizzardpaw! Stop!" he said, not mean, but a little forcefully to prove the point. He hoped he would stop. He didn't want him or himself to get in trouble.

Lynxfur wasn't sure what to make of Blizzardpaw's cazed fit about deathberries, and she glanced at Wolfheart helplessly, then Goldenpaw joined in and she stared at him wonderingly, "Goldenpaw?" When he stopped, she sighed, he looked sorry he had done it, though Lynxfur was still very confused about everything when Blizzardpaw jumped on her suddenly. She let out a mrow of surprise and was at a loss as to what she should do, still a little dazed and confused.
Wolfheart stood when Blizzardpaw started his fit again, Oh no.... I was hoping he'd gotten over this by now.... "Blizzardpaw... Blizzardpaw, come with me! Deathberries, do you want to help me find some? We can go get some deathberries, Blizzardpaw!" He spoke louder than he should have had to, hoping that maybe him saying deathberries would get through to the young cat. He hoped he wouldn't hurt Lynxfur, but wasn't that worried about it as Lynxfur rolloed away, her fur ruffled and her eyes wide.
