Out for a Stroll{Open}

Small grey paws landed on the third stepping stone toward the Island. His gray tabby tail stuck out behind him and the smell of prey drove hiim forward. It was the first time in a couple of days that he was able to get away from camp alone, and not on a patrol of any kind. If was stressful, sitting in camp and hunting and patrolling all the time.

Taking a small leap he landed in the tall grass of the island and stretched out his tired muscles. Walking to the middle of the island, he found a patch of stepped and layed on grass and layed down on it and yawned. It was so peaceful out here. No noises of the Clan cats filled his ears, only the sounds of birds and the scurrying sound of mice. Mice, he thought and sprang to his feet.

Morningfrost began to groom her white pelt, enjoying the light from the sun above. There were few clouds today, and she was enjoying herself. A scent blew into her nose, and the she-cat stiffened. Another cat had come, upwind from her of course, but it was not an intruder. She breathed quietly, so not to make herself known. It was the Clan deputy, alone as far as she could tell.

If he found her she would probably be sent on a patrol. She crept back under a thornbush and let the spikes sink into her thin fur. Even under here, she would probably be seen with her pelt. The sun still glimsed a few rays onto her pelt, but Morningfrost just knew she would be stuck with other warriors.

As the wind blew scents of the forest and cats toward him, he paused and stood up. Who was that? taking anothe deep breath, he tried to get the scent again but he lost it. Walking upwind, he looked around until he saw bright white, almost blinding under a bush. He smiled when he realized who it was. It was Morningfrost, the shy she-cat.
"Morningfrost, what are you doing?" He asked with an amused but warm tone.

Her tail brushed against the ground as she slunk from underneath her hiding place. She felt her ears heat up in embarrasment, and replied quickly. "Oh, I-Iwas j-just o-out hunting! Yes, hunting! When the mouse ran I also got stuck in the bush.... it got away though..." Her tail flicked in annoyance with herself.

I'm a terrible liar..... Morningfrost thought to herself. She laid on the ground again in the sun letting the light wash over her. She glanced at Spiderfang, Well.... he's being nicer than I expected.....

Spiderstar just smiled and then a thought flikered into his mind. He needed to travel to the Moontree. His tail bristling, he tried to find a way to ask her. He also wanted an apprentice to come along but he didn't know which one. Shaking his tail, he decided to ask outfront.
"Would you mind travelling with me to the Moontree? I have to receieve my nine lives." He asked with a soft purr to make it sound more welcoming.

"......." Morningfrost tipped her head onto her shoulder. "You want me to go to Moontree..... with you?" Her mind registered the thought slowly. She blinked and her ears went warm again. "Oh, of course! It would be an honor, Spiderstar!"

The she-cat dipped her head and she scrambled to her paws. She padded over to him and asked, "Do you want to go now, or should I-um...."

[size=0)Spiderstar smiled and shook his head. "Not right now! We have to prepare and I have to get travelling herbs." He left out the part about getting an apprentice to come along. It would have to be Ashpaw, and he wasn't too sure about that. He hoped that they would get alog at least.
"Well we need to get back to camp first, and get up our strengh. But we should probably leave by sunhigh tomorrow." he meowed with a smile.[/size]

The she-cat quickly nodded, her white ears flattened against her head. She let her tail drop behind her, and meowed quietly. "We should get back to camp." Her eyes didn't meet his as she felt the words run from her throat.

The she-cat thought about her brother. How she wished she was like him, brave and curios. Wanderingspirit even had his own apprentice. Morningfrost couldn't compare her shy, scared self to him.

Head low the she-cat padded in the direction of Vervain Camp with Spiderstar. She loathed the traveling herbs, but the white she-cat never said a word about them unlike..... her brother.
