3 Ceremonies:Mysterykit,Tempestkit, Skykit

[Dragonstar]

Dragonstar made sure he had everything in his mind straight. He jumped onto Highlog and boomed," Let all cats of Juniperclan meet here beneath Highlog. " He waited for his clanmates to gather.

Limestone sat down as close as she could, but not so close that she couldn't see Dragonstar. She curled her tail from left to right, and pricked up her ears to the Highlog.

Letting out an excited purr, the beautiful cream she-cat padded out of the nursery, knowing her apprenticeship cerimony was overdue by a month. Despite this, she greatly respected Dragonstar, and knew the keen-eyed leader was always busy, and knew his priorities well. Aquamarine eyes shimmering happily, and grappling all the dignity and pride as she could carry upon her soul, the scrawny 'kit' strode purposefully toward the massive log upon which Dragonstar sat. She sat, looking for her friend Mysterykit.

Skykit padded proudly from the nursery, after having clawed hiw way away from his mother's grooming tongue. After the slight struggle, his fur now stuck out here and there, but what did he care about what his fur looked like? Good fur doesn't make a good warrior! He strode forward on sure paws and sat near the front of the Clan, where it would be easy to see his mentor coming toward him and where Dragonstar could easily adress him for his ceremony. He couldn't believe it was finally happening! His tail swished from side to side to release some of the excited energy he had pent up within him.

Moonsong padded from the nursery with after her brother. She had been there, as usual, playing with the kits and talking to the queens. She hoped to join them there soon with kits of her own. She shook her head as she watched Skykit pad to the front of the Clan, his fur was so messy! How could he present himself to the Clan like that? SHe sighed and took a seat closer to the back, curling her tail around her paws and looking up at Dragonstar expectantly.

Sundance was just coming in with some prey after a lone hunting mission. She dropped two mice and a squirrel on the frech kill pile before hurrying over to join her assembled Clan. She wondered who would be mentoring the new apprentices, and hoped she would get one. She was so ready for an apprentice, and couldn't supress a shiver of excitement at the thought. She sat off to the side and looked at the two kits sitting toward the front of the Clan. Those must be them....

The gray she-cat watched the other cats gather. She eyed the three kits, well - Tempestkit techinaically was apprentice age, but her ceramony had been delayed.

Limestone was hoping for an apprentice of her own, the cats all seemed well-fit to become apprenticed. Her green eyes shot to Sundance.

Sundance had also been waiting for an apprentice, but with 3 Limestone also was hopeful. There were quite a few good warriors who were ready to become mentors, but somehow she just knew it was her turn.

Oh, please StarClan let me train an apprentice into a Warrior this time...

Mysterykit bust with excitement. His paws were tingling, but nervous butterflies fluttered in his small stomach. He skipped in front of the highlog, and stared at his beloved leader.

His excitement was showing everywhere, from his tail to the tip of his nose. The only one thing that wasn't showing his excitment was his eyes. His blank eyes were still as blank as ever...he always wondered what it would look like was if they actually were...alive.

[Dragonstar]

" We are here to witness three apprentice ceremonies of Skykit, Tempestkit, and Mysterkit. " He meowed, " These three apprentices, please step forward. " He proudly sat there, ready to give out the names. He felt nervous, even though he's been doing this for a long time.

The words echoed through the crowd of cats. Limestone felt her heart speed up, it was coming to the part where he would announce the names of the mentors.
Skykit was a mess, but he seemed confident and ready to be a Warrior.
Mysterykit looked excited, it looked like not ever a badger attack could ruin the kit's mood. Secretly, Limestone wanted to have him as an apprentice the most.
Tempestkit. She should have already been an apprentice a moon ago. But that would only make the ceramony all the more special.

Skykit's tail swished eagerly as Dragonstar spoke again and he stepped forward as his leader had asked. He glanced back, at the cats gathered, wondering which warrior would be his mentor. He hoped it wasn't one of his sisters.... He could just imagine Sundance lording it over him, telling him what to do.... Moonsong wouldn't be as bad, but still. It was rare for family to mentor family, wasn't it? He hoped so. Turning back to Dragonstar, she shuffled his paws slightly, Who's my mentor? he thought eagerly, his eyes pleading for Dragonstar to just say it already.

Moonsong sat patiently at the back of the Clan, watched as her brother stepped forward and wondered briefly who Dragonstar had chosen as his mentor. She hoped it wasn't Sundance. Sundance would make a great mentor for any apprentice, except their brother. She was too much of a big sister to Skykit to be a decent mentor.... She shook herself lightly, knowing whoever it was, Dragonstar would know what he was doing.

Sundance leaned forward slightly as Dragonstar began to speak again, Mysterykit or Tempestkit... either one would be fine by me. I hope it's not Skykit, he's such a little mouse-brain. Sundance knew that if Skykit became her apprentice, he would disobey her at every chance he got. Yeah, well, if he does, we'll just see if he's ever made into a warrior!

Mysterykit did as he was told, and held his head high, sudden confidence glowing in him like embers do in a fire. He smiled, and looked directly into his leaders' eyes. The blank look was still there, but somehow some cats could still read them. He sighed, and sat down, trying not to fidget.

Standing beside her best friend, Mysterykit, Tempestkit beamed proudly for this day, and was excited it had finally come to her. She hoped she had gotten a good mentor. She wondered who Dragonstar would choose for her. Looking over her shoulder, she gazed over the warriors, maybe Moonsong or Sundance, preferably Sundance. Tempestkit admired the warrior greatly.

[Dragonstar]

Dragonstar proudly puffed his chest out as he spoke, " Tempestkit, from now on, until you are a warrior, you will be known as Tempestpaw. " He allowed time for his clanmates to chant Tempestpaw's name.

" Sundance, " He meowed, " You will mentor Tempestpaw. You have shown great integrity and diligence this past moon, I beleive you will pass on what you know to Tempestpaw. " He waited awhile to let that soak in. He smiled warmly at the new apprentice and waited for Sundance to take her apprentice.

Sundance nearly leapt to her paws when Dragonstar said she would be Tempestpaw's mentor, though she kept herself carefully under control. Her pelt prickled a little from excitement as she made her way through the Clan to stand by Tempestpaw. Her ocean blue eyes were all for the young cat, though she tore her gaze away briefly to look up at Dragonstar once more, "Thank you, Dragonstar... I'll do my best."

Looking down at Tempestpaw again, she reached down to lightly touch noses with her, This is going to be great!

Moonsong purred softly as Sundance became a mentor. She knew her sister had been waiting impatiently for this day to come. She knew she would be a good mentor, she was a great warrior. Moonsong, on the other paw, didn't think she would make the best mentor in the world. Her warrior skills were lacking, and all she really wanted to do was find a mate have kits. Her mother said it was a great way to serve your Clan and Moonsong knew she was perfectly capable of that!

Skypaw sighed heavily in relief that his sister wouldn't be the one to mentor him. Now he was excited again, knowing he wouldn't have to deal with Sundance bossing him around every day. Though, there was still Moonsong, but she wouldn't be so bad. She just seemed to treat him like a kit all the time, like she was his mother or something.... It was kind of weird. He watched as Sundance touched noses with Tempestpaw and then turned back to the gathered cat, wondering once more which one would be his mentor.

[Dragonstar]

" Skykit, " Dragonstar meowed, " Until you are a warrior, you will be known as Skypaw, "

" Limestone will be your metor, " He looked at Limestone, " You are a strong cat, Limestone, you will be a great mentor for Skypaw. " His ears twitched and waited a little again for Limestone to come up.

Quickly, the muscular gray Warrior padded over to meet Skypaw. She tried to hide her excitement, but knew her eyes were probably gleaming with it. She bent down to touch Skypaw's nose, smiling. "Hello, Skypaw."

At last I have another chance, this time I really hope I'll be able to make a Warrior out of him! She thought.
